High performance has a short-term and a long-term version. The short-term version prioritises output above all — maximise training load, push through fatigue, optimise for the next competition. Muscle responds to training relatively quickly. Connective tissue — tendons, ligaments, cartilage — adapts more slowly and has more limited regenerative capacity. Managing Inflammation Over Time

The Longevity Mindset
The training protocol that produces the best results over ten years is not necessarily the most intense one.
